This project was a replacement of existing legacy McQuay console WSHPs from the 2005 initial build. The replacement Daikin WSHPs were customized with DC motors and valve packages.

The 2005 completion of The Helena turned this luxury high-rise into a high-stakes proof of concept for urban sustainability. Developed by the Durst Organization and designed by FXCollaborative, this 38-story building became the first residential high-rise in New York City to voluntarily pursue and achieve LEED Gold certification — setting the blueprint for the green skyscraper boom that followed.
